Experience:

 

Chris is the Independent Chairman of Noon’s Investment Committee, responsible for monitoring the entire investment decision-making and asset management process.

​

Chris has worked in emerging markets Private Equity and Investment Banking for 35+ years.

​

Between 2018 and 2021 he was Chief Investment Officer at CDC Group, the UK governmentowned development finance institution with more than USD 10bn of AUM and investing approx. USD 2bn p.a. across debt, direct equity and funds.

​

Between 2008 and 2017, Chris was a Partner in Actis. He was the firm’s COO, a member of the ICs for Private Equity, Energy and Real Estate and Chair of ExCo (2014-2015). He was

also actively involved in the portfolio management of Anthelio (Chairman) and Diamond Bank

(Board designate).

From 1996 to 2006 he was Managing Director and Head of Leveraged Finance at Barclays Capital.

​

Before joining Barclays Capital, Chris worked, between 1982 and 1995, at SG Warburg & Co, WPP Group, Chase Manhattan and Continental Bank, based in London.

Chris is English and holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Masters degree in International Development from the University of

Bath.
